- Performance, economy, comfort, GREAT VALUE
- Suspension a bit too soft, no folding mirrors
I have 6500 miles on my Ltd to date and have very few gripes (none are major). Economy in town is fair. Highway mpg = outstanding. My overall average is 22 - 25 with a 50:50 mix. On the highway at 80mph I get 27mpg. Very impressive. Try that with a domestic car. Overall the drive train is outstanding. The tranny is simply outstanding. Power & accelleration are excellent. Amazing for a full-size car with a V6. Radar cruise control takes some getting used to but works very well.
Car drives and rides wonderfully. The suspension is a little too soft & allows the car to pitch in corners & float over larger bumps. Otherwise comfort is outstanding. I also wish the steering column extended another 2 inches (for us taller drivers).
Cabin is very quiet. No sure what car the complainers were in but it certainly was not an Avalon. Wind noise is nearly zero. Road noise is even less. The slope of the roof line encroaches on rear seat head room for taller passengers. Seating is fantastic. Incredible amount of interior room (except rear roof line slope).
I do not understand why the outside mirrors do not fold. Stupid place to cut costs.... I'd like tinted windows without resorting to the after-market
