I thought I would comment on the 2008 Avalon Limited only after I put some miles on the car. I average 17 MPG in town and 28.2 on the highway. The disparity in milelage is due to a lot of stop and go driving you would find in any medium city. All cars have a blind spot but the right rear piller on the Avalon is large enough to have a 10 degree blind spot where you lose visibility on any car coming up on your right side. Adjusting the mirrors will only help so much. You also have a blind spot on your left but not so noticable. This bothers me so much I am thinking of putting a Wireless Camera in the back window. Next, I have the DVD system and comparing to a Garmin or Tom Tom the Toyota is the worst on the market. There are errors I have found and brought up to Toyota who states that they will not correct errors. There POI is the smallest of any company. And they informed me to check with my local dealer each year because if they do not make changes in your local area it may not be worth it to buy a new disc. I found that really alarming. I expected better from Toyota.
