- Good mpg if you drive like a Grandma / my best 43.5 / quiet at highway speed on smooth road
- Car interior squeaks and rattles over minor bumps/ small trunk/ mileage declines during cold weather
I have owned this car 10 months and 25,000 miles. The mileage ratings are exagerated for most driving situations. The more hills and start stop situations the mileage declines dramatically. If you drive at 65 to 70 on highway with few hills expect about 38 mpg. My best mpg has been 43.5 which was a fluke. If your drive in cold weather lets say 6 to 10 miles every day save your money because this car will only get 28 mpg at best. My usual average is about 34 mpg during warm weather and 32 mpg during cold weather. The engine shuts off during stop lights and turns on when you drive away or when the temp sensor tells it to. That and the battery being exposed to cold temps in the trunk will change mpg. The dash and passenger door rattle on roads that are not extremely smooth. The handling is competent but not exciting in anyway. Acceleration is poor from stop signs and if you drive it other than like a egg is under the peddle your mileage suffers dramatically. It will pass at 45 to 55 mph real well with the gas and electric engine working together. Your mileage declines with cruise control on hills. I hardly ever use the cruise on this car to acheive max. mileage. The car this replaced was a dream to drive in comparison G35 X but , the MPG on it was only 19.
