2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid User Reviews
4-Door Sedan shown
- No trim specified for this review
- Styling and comfort
- Gas mileage not good, rattles, squeaks and not a tight fit
Purchased As New
I purchased this after owning a 2009 Prius for a year. I traded in the Prius because it was too small for my lower back problems. The Camry fit the bill for comfort but that's about it. I constantly felt a "shudder." when the engine kicked it. It was so annoying. Not a smooth transition like the Prius. The gas mileage was terrible....about 5 - 10 gal less than what was advertised. The fit and finish was AWFUL!! The windows wobbled when rolled up and down. Nothing like the Prius which was made in Japan. TIght fit. US automakers still can't get it right. I traded it in after 3 months for a 2010 Prius. The 2010 was a tad larger than the 2009 and it had lumbar support which was the catalyst for purchasing. The engine was also MUCH quieter than the Camry or the 2009 Prius and the transition from battery to gas was 100% smooth.
