- Definitely saving money on gas...
- Actual MPG is less than display!
Purchased As New
I didn't want to write a review shortly after I bought the car. This is my 3rd month driving it, so bare with me please. As oppose to my first impression, EV is NOT that quiet. When my son first jumped in the car he loved the noise coming from the engine and described it "like a spaceship"...:)
First of all, yeah, it saves money at gas station, but it is not worth to pay a Cadillac price on a Toyota Camry Hybrid XLE. Over the months, when you calculate the actual gas u bought and check the computer's average MPG, there is definitely %10 discrepancy. EV taking long time to kick in, even a slight acceleration kicks it off... Not powerful enough to beat the felling like even golf carts accelerates better than this car.
It is hard to concentrate on saving gas versus driving as usual. It's quiet a challenge. All the accessories in the car are way behind to meet expectations found in a real American comfort. This is definitely my last Toyota! I tried a lot of American cars, very very comfy, quiet, loaded and even priced better. Americas are reinventing manufacturing good cars. Never buy a Toyota again! By the way, computer shows 41.3 MPG, actual is 36.5 MPG. Not bad... OK, trunk is bigger than the previous body. Look is sharp, nice... Although I'm saving money on gas, happy with the look, improved storage capacity, fancy and hard to use Navigation system, this car is NOT worth to spend that much money. Sorry folks, I'm disappointed in this car...:(
