- Quality and reliability of Toyota service network should give a potential buyer great concern
Just read the latest Consumer Reports about the reliability and quality of the 2005 Solara and you will know why Toyota is not the car they used to be.
I had a one car "accident" after just two months owning the car. In the rain the car hit the curb at 15 MPH. Somehow the axel, the wheel, and the suspension all collapsed. I have quotes to fix it from $6,500 to $12,400. Since I keep my cars for 150,000+ miles I wanted to trade it in for a new one. Toyota will only give me $4,000 on a brand new car whose MSRP was over $28,000.
Just how did a 15 MPH collision with a curb cause that kind of damage? And why won't Toyota stand behind their cars?
