2007 Toyota Camry Solara User Reviews
SLE Convertible shown
- $9,368 - $12,730
- Looks great, comfy interior
- back windows rattle terribly - wish I could get rid of it
Vehicle bought in July 2007 and it has been back at the dealership six times to fix the rattling of the back windows - we have asked Toyota to help us as well and still do not have the car fixed. I am very disappointed because I would have expected more from Toyota. I wish I had bought a 2008 Honda Accord instead....read morehide

- Top goes down
- Shaky ride, mismatched paint, wind noise.
This is one of the few cars I have not taken an extended warranty on. I won't be keeping it that long. In fact, if it wasn't a ragtop it might be gone already. Toyota has always claimed to put out a perfect product - guess what - this isn't. There is an annoying "shake" which they attribute to flexing of the body because it is a convertible. I'll bet they fixed it for the Lexus. The paint on the fiberglass panels doesn't match the color on the sheet metal panels. Can't wait to get back to good old reliable General Motors....read morehide

- looks nice
- poor acceleration,
I have major problems with this car and with transmision problems, acceleration problems and rattles . When traveling down the interstate and think you can hop into the fast lane think again if you own this car-----major hesitation when you are going about 20mph and would like to accelerate and move into the next lane with faster traveling cars. I will never let my kids drive this car on the highway. I have never owned a Toyota I will go back to my Honda......
Toyota has identified this problem in the Camry but will not fix the same problem in the Solara---...read morehide

- excellent finish
- old fashion top, requires tonneau cover, unstable over 130 kms/hour
Cannot use review centre mirror with top down and tonneau cover on aa the cover blocks the mirror's vision. Also poor rear vision when backing up vehicle with top up. Small rear convertible top window

- Ugly style, bad MPG, High Price, rattles everywhere
- Same as above!
No satisfaction driving it! Going to get the Classy Chrysler 300 Limited w/ 3.5L V6 250HP at 19/27MPG at a price of $31,000 and have fun driving it once again!

- It can't be the style which is not appealing to see!
- Wrong fuel economy, high priced, low quality with rattles & squeaks, value is down
I was decided to get the Solara, but comparing it with value added Mitsubishi Galant with 10 years/ 100,000 mile warranty, cost of purchase at $25,000 with a 3.8L V6 @ 258hp with all features and 18/27mpg more accurate listed numbers, it was a no brainer. By the way, the Galant is still made in Japan!...read morehide

- The quality is lost on the bas transmission and rattles.
- High price, bad MPG, uncomfortable ride, odd looking car, bad quality overall
The Solara is the low end equivalent of the Lexus ES, but the price is still way above the standard value for this kind of car. I suggest lowering the price by $6,000 to make it competitive!

- Not the best
- Is this a Toyota product?
They just put up a bridge and its shaking thinking of taking it to a Toyota dealership for this. Not worth the price. Not even close. Maybe a $10,000 rebate would intice someone but not me.

- its a Toyota
- poor quality for it to carry to Toyota name. loud, blind spots, turning becomes a problem.
I would really expect more for a vehicle to carry the Toyota brand on it. I was very disappointed. Can this be the future Toyota is bringing? I really hope they change soon. Loud engine noice. Very loud when driving even though its a convertible it shouldn't be this loud for the passengers.

- he top goes down, nice looking car
- Toyota reliability is a myth
My Solara isn't brand new, it's an '05...but I had to write about it's problems. It's been back to the dealer for so many things that I never expected from a Toyota. Most are minor, but still..these Toyotas are supposed to be top notch. Anyway, it's a nice car when I actually have it...I won't be buying Toyota again!...read morehide
