2007 Toyota Camry Solara User Reviews
Sport Convertible shown
- $9,368 - $12,730
- Rides very smooth, great body design
- Husband suffered a concussion because his side airbag did not release upon impact from another car
I would not buy another Toyota Camry Solara. The trunk lid does not stay in place and on a windy day it will crash right down on your head, the trunk lid does not go tilt far back enough when it is opened. I had a concussion from this happening. In addition to the side airbag not releasing when my husband was hit in the Solara from another driver, we sold the car. Worst car purchase we ever made....read morehide

- Toyota TV commertials about reliability
- Transmission slips, rattles, dangerous hesitation during acceleration
I have his car since october, the car has been to the dealer 5 times
with transmision problems, acceleration problems and rattles . If I
could return this" reliable" car I would buy Nissan Altima.

- Fantastically comfortable and beautiful, powerful, extremely smoothe, beats the Lexus SC 2006 I sold
- The truth is there are no cons. Best darn convertible value out there.
The Lexus SC is supposed to be fantastic, well, the Solara SLE convertible is far far better. I sold my 2006 SC, and bought this 2007 Solara for 1/2 the price of the SC. Solara is 0.8 seconds slower 0 to 60 than the SC, and weighs approx. 280 lbs. less, but is half the price, holds 4 not 2 like the SC, is far far more comfortable than the SC, the V-6 has more power than you will ever need, and gets significantly better gas mileage than the Lexus SC. I read negative reviews at this site on this Solara and they are GROTESQUELY FALSE and MISLEADING. I bought my Solara for $100 over invoice by emailing the Internet sales managers at 28 Toyota dealerships and getting them to bid against eachother -- it was fun to outwit them. Keep a car cover on yours, to protect top from ultraviolet. Live long, prosper with your savings, and snap up the Solara LSE covertible. Happy motoring....read morehide

- Fuel economy (26 mpg combined), fit & finish, quality feel & sound system
- Expected blind spots with top up.
My first Toyota and I'm highly impressed with this car's overall feel, styling and fit and finish. Very fluid engine and transmission with ample power.
This car is NOT a sports car, but rather a highway and around town "cruiser" that will comfortably seat four tall adults.
Our car constantly draws admiring glances and questions such as "..what model Lexus is it?". Fully laoded, including GPS and XM the car stickered just above $35k. Compared to BMW's, Mercedes and other imports it really is a fantastic value....read morehide

- Shape is fine!
- Transmission is terrible!
Car seems not able to decide what gear it wants to go and hesitates on acceleration, plus it eats a lot on gas which the sticker does not give the actual mileage consumption. Wish the Toyota giant would concentrate in building good cars, instead of trying to be number ONE!
