2005 Toyota Camry

- Decent fuel economy, more comfortable interior than 1994 Camry
- Terrible transmission/acceleration, questionable braking, poor rear visibility
This 2005 LE V-6 Camry accelerates as if the brake is on - like something is holding it back. Sometimes it is as if the transmission is "hung up". Then you can feel the transmission shifting into each gear. Dealer said it is due to the new computer system and there is "no problem" - let them drive it in rush hour stop and go traffic or try to accelerate to merge onto interstate! Dealer/Toyota takes no responsibility for terrible design and has no plans to fix it.
Never had a moment's problem with the engine or transmission in my 1994 Camry. Thought I would be a repeat Camry customer for the rest of my life but definitely would NOT buy another Camry nor recommend it to friends and family.
In addition to the poor driving performance, the brakes sometimes make a clunking noise and I am not 100% confident in them.
I give it an overall poor rating because driving performance is more important than appearance or comfort.
