- good fuel economy, quiet ride, build quality, high end luxurious interior
Actually, I a writing this about the Lexus ES 330. I just bought one after drving a camry, an infinity G35, an Audi A4, and an accura TL, all
2005 models. Now first of all, the Lexus road the best, had the most quiet interior, In addition, the Lexus had the best overall build quality. The G35 had the best acceleration. The audi a4 had the best traction with the quatro all wheel drive. Now, the big difference, the build qualiity of the lexus es330 was far superior to all of the rest of the cars I demoed. I can only attribut this to one factor, the Lexus Es 330 is built and assembled in Japan. THe camry and the accura are built and assembled in the US. Far better workmanship by the Japanese than the american built products. Therefore, those who think that the lexus es330 is the same as a camry, no nothing about autos. In addition, the Lexus es330 has one of the best reliabilty ratings of any vehicle....read morehide

- Great looking get around car!
- Transmission feels VERY ODD.
We bought a 2005 Camry SE V6, I was expecting ALOT MORE as far as drive train!
The transmission acts up in all gears. In rush hour traffic it starts a cruise control effect and doesnt seem to want to stop. When cruising around the streets it feels like the parking brakes are on. When your teenage daughter say's it feels funny I think something is wrong. It pulls to the left while driving, Its been fixed so the dealer said. Is there a fix for the eratic trans? Or is this normal and how long will it last?
The rest of the car is nice, easy to drive and has plenty of power.
The suspension is so so for a SE model....read morehide

- 3.3L V6 is very powerful yet quiet.
- Driver sits very high for a sedan, at eye level with most mini vans.
The 3.3L V6 is a very smooth, powerful engine. It quickly accelerates no matter what speed you're travelling at. Yet even when it's pushing hard through the lower gears is very quiet in the cabin.

- Everything but the con
- V6 acceleration problems
If the car would accelerate properly, it would be perfect. Car will hesitate upon depressing the pedal to accelerate. Dealer acts like there is nothing wrong with the car. They are waiting for Toyota to admit a problem. Thousands of complaints are out there. Toyota Customer service says "when the pedal is depressed aggressively, the accelerator is bypasses several intermediary throttle positions and the transmission receives less throttle position data. As a result of this lack of data, the transmission may experience a slight delay when trying to find a gear that will deliver the power asked of the vehicle". My response, DON'T BYPASS THOSE INTERMEDIARY THROTTLE POSITIONS! DON"T BUY THE V6 WITH THE 5 SPEED AT!...read morehide

- Smooth Ride, Quiet, Roomy, Sporty
- Hesitation in 5 spd auto transmission, Seat too high in lowest position
Just bought the 2005 SE V6 with all the trimmings. The ride is great and I get plenty of compliments. Pretty much very pleased with everything except the new 5 spd auto transmission. The hesitation is a drag. I didn't expect to feel like a soccer mom in a minvan coming off the line in this vehicle. I don't know what the engineers at Toyota were thinking but this transmission's performance doesn't come close to the one in our '99 LE V6. The only other grief I can offer up is the driver seat isn't low enough for me on the lowest setting. Some of the reason is my height, but once again - the '99 power seat sits lower. Overall good value for the money. I echo other's sentiments of basically getting a Lexus for Toyota price....read morehide

- Looks, Ride, Great Acceleration, Cost
I have had this car for almost a year and it is by far the best vehicle I have owned. Great acceleration and smooth ride. I have the Salsa Red, 17" dark alloys, moonroof, spoiler, JBL sound and everything else this great vehicle comes with. I never imagined buying a Camry until my wife and I went to the Toyota lot and saw this one. I bought it on the spot. Great value compared to the other sedans in this range and Toyota reliability speaks for itself. I like knowing I am basically driving a Lexus for the price of a Toyota....read morehide

- Good in fuel with a great performance
- Should increase the HP to 255 and make the fuel tank a bit bigger
Just bought the SE v6. It ran smooth and fast. I usually drive fast and love to race on freeway. Last week, I was racing with bmw 325ci with the SE v6. I push it up to 120 Mph and that BMW could not keep up. Great car, smooth ride, and great quality
