2005 Toyota Camry

- Got 30 miles per on first tank, stereo nice, switched from BMW 740 and pround of it
- economic seats, but a little soft
Works great, first Toyota, thinking of getting Highlander also because of overall quality, sold BMW 740 for minimization of overall cost and breathing much easier.

- Good finish inside and out. Everything fairly well thought out and an overall comfortable car.
- Transmission shifts oddly, gas mileage is poor, and the tires are absolutely the worst!
I have a 2005 Standard Camry with the four cylinder engine. Gas mileage is running around 21MPG (poor) which I can live with. The transmission though is scary as it shifts continually while driving under 40 miles per hour (a five speed automatic). The tires lose traction easily (Bridgestone Potenza) and they should not be on this vehicle. Toyoto should have put on Toyo, or Goodyear tires on the Camry. The seat positioning system doesn't allow a really good driving feel as the steering wheel is too far away. It is something to do with the gas pedal, steering wheel, and seat positions. Everything else in the car is extremely well done. Funny thing though, if you sit in a brand new 2005 Nissan Altima and then sit in a brand new 2005 Camry, the interiors are exactly alike and you wouldn't be able to tell which car you were in if there was no logo visible. I also own a 2000 Camry which drives better. This is my fifth Toyota and may be my last. Honda is looking better every minute....read morehide
