- Good looking stylish car, nice with metallic silver paintwork
- This car is undeniably the most uncomfortable car I think I have ever driven.
Like so many other people who purchased the '07 Camry I was taken in by the hype and also the mistaken impression that this car would be at least as good as my 1997 Camry. Could'nt have been more mistaken. Immediately on driving away from the showroom I noticed the bumpiness of the ride. On some (excellent) roads even it seems to go into a resonant mode where it seems to lack almost any damping at all. When I reported these symptoms to the dealer they said that it was designed with a 'stiffer suspension' and it was normal - it just didn't suit me ! I have a serious back problem and this is just aggravating it. Now I realize it just doesn't suit many many people all over the place. You would think that more than 100 years since the developement of the motor car , Toyota could have perfected one of the most basic features of car driving comfort-namely good and comfortable performance of the suspension. Shame on Toyota ! All that money spent and seemingly the inevitability of losing a lot of money as I try to sell the car. Sorry to say it but I won't be taking any more risks with Toyota in the future. I recommend that you don't either....read morehide

- Good mileage, reliability, great looks
- Feels cheap, weak power, limited options
I tested an 07 Camry SE 5MT and an 06 Accord EX-L 5MT, both 4 cyls. Very surprised the Camry V6 is not available in a MT. Then again, this is boring typical Toyota. The Camry felt like a numb big Corolla. The Accord is a much better car overall, and handles and performs better, for a 1 or 2 decrease in MPG. I bought the Accord with heated leather, XM radio, and 6 disc CD for less money than the Camry without these features. Leather seats in the Camry SE 5MT with no heated option unless you get the XLE V6 automatic? Save your money. Buy a new loaded Accord, or a certified used Acura....read morehide

- Fuel Economy Standard features Safety Enhanced Style Interior Volume Reliability Refined & Value.
- Power. Heated seats not available on Leather option w/Manual. Trim & Finish. No 60/40 Backseat.
The new Camry SE is a gem to own. Fresh new styling, ultra quiet ride, very good fuel economy, a host of standard features and overall very good build quality and reliability. I was a little dissapointed that I had to wait almost 8 weeks to take delivery of my car. The dealership couldn't locate a model in the country with my specific requirements and had to order it direct from the factory (Red 5 speed manual SE's are very rare and have a limited production). If you are willing to wait it's worth it. Although not a slouch when accelerating the base 4 cyl engine could use 12 more ponies under the hood. I opted for the C pkg from the factory. This pkg includes a power passanger seat, leather, garage door opener, power moonroof, dual illuminated vanity mirrors and an electrochromic rear view mirror with digital compass. I was not happy with the fact the leather front seats are not heated & not available as an option when purchased with a manual transmission. The transmission itself, although not a Honda, shifts well and is precise. The front seats are comfortable and have good support and the rear seat is roomy. The Camry handles well and the steering feel is responsive. Despite the looks and the badge the car is geared for safety rather than performance. The instruments are clearly laid out and outward visibility is good. Although the ride can be a bit stiff at times, in general it soaks up the bumps and minor road imperfections nicely. The car won't allow you to push it to its limits because of the constant engaging saftey features, toyota obviously opted for safety over excitement. Would eventualy like to see a six speed manual offered with the six cyl. Apart from the cheap looking accents on the doors and parts of the dash, the car's interior is well laid out, functional and pleasant. All controls are intuitive and in easy reach. I wasn't happy with the lack of a 60/40 rear folding seat. This is primarily due to the rear trunk mounted re-inforced V brace. Overall the Camry SE has shed its image as a mundane reliable commuter car and added some spice with its sport tuned suspension, standard 17" alloy wheels, fog lamps, leather wrapped steering, sports grill and ground effects. The new 2007 Camry is indeed a gem to own....read morehide

- Appearance, Handling, Comfort and
- Only 4 cylinder comes in manual - V6 manual would of been really nice
I got 4 cylinder 158hp Camry SE and i can say i'm happy for the most part. Manual was really important for me since i always enjoyed driving manual cars. The camry SE 4 cylinder pulls around 0-60 7.9 - 8.2 secs which it's not bad all for 158hp. Swifting is smooth and you can always get always get enough power for w/e you need, but sometimes it makes you want just a little more out of it. Handling for Camry SE is simply amazing for such a big heavy sedan. It's amazing the Camry is able to run at top speed of 138mph, you get great handling till you reach 100mph. If you are looking for Power you will find it in the 5 speed manual 158hp but if you are looking for an automatic car just stick with the V6 268hp engine.
Great Looks, reliable and decent gas milage makes this a great Value car....read morehide
