2009 Toyota Camry

- Nice exterior design, colors
- transmission slips, steeering/ride/tires, cheap interior
Purchased As New
We purchased our Camry last Fall and to date still have transmission slippage or lurching. The dealer has "reprogrammed" the computer several times and it still has the problem. We owned a 2001 Camry which had engine sludge problems because of too small oil return holes in the top of the engine. Now this transmission thing. Also the car need a wheel alignment because tires were wearing unevenly. Our family has owned both Toyota and other brands over the years. It seems now that Toyota is now on par with any other car maker, sorry to say. We won't be paying $28,000 plus for another Toyota.
Seating and a rattle in the dashboard area are also minuses to us. We've had the same dealer for over 10 years now the service is faltering as well. They want us to buy a service/maintenance contract. Why is that? Do they know something we don't?? My neighbor has an '09 Accord and it seems not up to par either, with harsh handling and uncomfortable seats, along with wind noise or leaks. Next time we will shop for a better buy and look at even a Ford, Chevy, or Saturn. At least the cost is less.
