I have 2 XLE Camry's, a 2011 and a 2012. I like my 2012's touch screen with satellite radio and navigation options. The car handles well and gets decent gas mileage.
Now compare the 2 years and I would rather have the 2011. Why, higher quality in interior construction. Take the backseat arm rest, much sturdier in the 2011. But the biggest problem are the mirrors. The salesman offered me the blind spot detection option. I thought to myself I have a Camry XLE and no blind spot so I will save my money. Guess what the 2012 XLE has smaller and curved mirrors causing a large blind spot. I am thinking this was intentional to sell the new blind spot detection option, If this was the case, it was a very bad idea because it is much more dangerous getting over in traffic with the 2012 compared to the 2011.
As far as the free maintenance, both my cars are covered for 4 years because I paid extra for the plan. Bad part, I bought both with in the lower 48 states and since moved to Hawaii. Guess what, the maintenance plans even the free 24 months offered by Toyota are not recognized here. So there goes the free oil changes.
I still love my cars, just happier with the 2011 XLE
