- Tensioner Pully Wheel
Purchased As Used
I had one of these cars for a few years until I unfortunately totaled it and I absolutely LOVED it. I cant count how many comments I got about the style of just the stock body and you basically have an unlimited amount of after market parts for this vehicle if you wish to upgrade it further and customize it to your liking. For the style of this car, you really cant frown at the price. When this car came out a lot of people say it was a little too early but even today it still competes visually as a top of the line sports car. As for the Interior of the car you cant beat it. The front seats are insanely comfortable even on VERY long drives. It's a coupe so the back seats are a bit smaller, but even those are comfortable on longer trips. The sound system is like no other stock system you can get unless you get a special sound package upgrade. For performance the GT style has less horse power but has a better gas mileage, as the GT-S has VVTI-L. (Variable Valve Timing Intelligence /w Lift) That means once you hit a certain RPM your engine engages into its true performance turning and practically takes off. You can feel the lift engage and if you perfect shifting and stay in Lift, you can outclass even some modified cars. Another note about upgrading with after market parts, the GT is easier, and less costly to upgrade then the GT-S because it has a less complicated tuning, and the parts are easier for companies to produce due to the complicated lay out of the GT-S engine lay out. (mostly with the Air intake system and Exhaust manifold) I really wish that Toyota hadn't discontinued the production of the Celica in exchange for producing the Scion TC. The Celica was a bit more costly to produce, and fewer of them sold, but the TC just cant compete on a visual, or comfort scale what so ever.
The only problem you ever really hear about is the stock tensioner pulley wheel squeaks lightly if its very cold or humid in the mornings. once the engine warms up it goes away....read morehide
