2007 Toyota Corolla User Reviews

- Great fuel economy, great value and reputation,
- Hard to get comfortable in driver's seat, poor handling at higher speeds, radio seems to be a reach
I have had my 2007 Toyota Corolla S for about 2 weeks and I absolutely love it. I added the rear spoiler and alloy wheels which I think really makes it look stylish. The inside is attractive, with lots of convenient storage space. It feels pretty roomy, even in the back seat. My 6'2'' husband rode in the backseat and said he was not cramped. I also like the 2 front and 2 back cup holders. I like the soft cloth material, although it does attract lint and "fuzzies". I agree that the driver seat is not the most comfortable. 1. The seat seems too high even when lowered all the way. (I am 5'9''.) 2. My back and butt start to hurt when driving longer distances. 3. I feel like I am reaching for the steering wheel, but if I put my seat closer I don't have enough leg room. The whole driver seat problem is really just a minor annoyance though. I also think that they need to put the stereo somewhere else, or put controls on the steering wheel, as I have to lean forward while driving to reach it. Performance...I think it has great acceleration for 126 hp. I have yet to feel like I am lagging behind other cars going up hills or accelerating at a light. In fact, I am usually ahead! I bought a manual transmission, and I did feel like it had better acceleration than the automatic. Around town the car handles quite nicely, actually feels like a little sports car. On the highway I don't feel it handles very well. I would say at 60+ handling starts to deteriate, with a sense of losing control at 75. However, I only get on the highway once a week for 10 minutes so this is not a big deal to me. Otheriwse the car drives really smooth, and shifts nicely. The value is wonderful!
I think that the people writing really bad reviews about this car need to remember that this is an economy car. You can't expect Lexus quality and performance just because it's Toyota.
Overrall I am extremely satisfied with my purchase!
