- Averaging 40 mpg, comfortable, great value
- I wish they'd make a Corolla convertible!
Doing a mix of town and highway driving, am getting great mpg. Comfortable enough on 500-mile trips we've taken, not as cushy perhaps as our Camry but OK. Sprightly, again perhaps comparing to automatic Camry, but I'm not a leadfoot or get rubber off the line type. Probably that's one reason for the good mpg. Driver sits up nicely. I am impressed by the amenities of this "basic" car. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles, I got what I paid for and that's what I wanted. To be totally informational, I might mention that my daily driver for the previous 7 years was a '69 VW, so little things such as a heater and defroster that works were pretty impressive to me! Even so, I have very much enjoyed my Corolla. Getting it at 0% interest didn't hurt, either.
