I purchased the car with 15,500 miles on the odometer. That was in 2009, The car now has over 95,000 miles on the odometer and runs excellent. I all I hqave done is regular oil and filter changes, one new set of tires at 50,000miles and brake pads at 90.000 miles.
I travel in my work and this car is close to, if not the absolute best I have ever owned....read morehide0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

- Pros
- didn't find yet
- Cons
- boring, cheap materials, underpowered

I traded my 2010 mazda 3 for one of this corollas. What a big mistake ! Car feels cheap allover, lots of plastic, cheap materials. I can't imagine how this vehicle could be longtime reliable. Honestly ! Underpowered engine, and driving it reminds me an old 80's car. There is nothing to do with, just to go A to B places....read morehide

- Pros
- Better than advertised fuel milege, love the looks and ride of my "S" model.
- Cons
- Wish there were more aftermarket performance products for the 1.8 L.

I have owned several Toyota 4-runners, Matrix's and Camry's and currently own a 2012 Prius (had an '05 for a good while too). I have had graet luck with my Toyota's so I bought a 2012 Corolla "S" model (nautical blue) to keep some miles of my 4 wheel drive SUV ,which I use primarily for beach fishing. I have an 11 year old daughter and I plan on passing my new Corolla down to her for college, hence the "S" model. I had a 2009 Ford Focus which was my wife's but it was a lemon - the dealer could never get the AC to work right. We replaced that with the Prius and I took advantage of the low rate to get the Corolla too. I have read a number of not so good reviews about the new Corolla's being outdated but have fallen in love with mine at 3,500 miles! I don't know about the adverse reviews but I love my new Corolla "S". Put a K&N air filter on it and the Prius and I am getting better than advertised MPG's on both....read morehide

Another boring Toyota; good for back and forth point A and point B, but the car itself is kind of bland.

- Pros
- Great car! Much less road and wind noise than my last car.
- Cons
- I am 6' and wish the headroom getting into the car was a little more
Purchased As New
This car has been great. the wind and road noise is low for a car at this price level. I have been averaging 38 MPG and the car is comfortable. Once in the car it is comfortable with plenty of leg room and the tilt, telescoping steering wheel helps get the position just right. Toyota makes a great car and the depreciation over the years versus other car makers is superior....read morehide

- Pros
- decent fuel economy(34mpg), reliable, easy/low maintenance
- Cons
- Not very quick, I would like a little more get up and go.
Purchased As New
It's a great looking car inside and out(I have the black sand metallic). Very sporty look and extremely spacious inside, more so than the older corolla's. The electronic steering is extremely soft, has almost no resistance, I am used to hydraulic steering so this is very weird to me but it does get better as you drive, you get used to it. I paid "invoice price" ~$19,100 with the sunroof and floormats package. I feels at is a bit overpriced since you can get a lesser trim for thousands less and there isn't much difference except looks. I bought it for the reliability and gas mileage(I expected more gas mileage since my brothers 2007 corolla s gets about 38mpg, but this is a larger car so it makes sense, still 34mpg is not bad) The reliability is great though, you open the hood and there is nothing under there except the motor and battery basically, which is great in my opinion as far as a commuter car goes because there is less things that can go wrong. I would rate this car as a commuter a 4/5, I definitely recommend it....read morehide

Could use a little more pickup. Great brakes, handles bumps well and is an overall good handling car. Not happy with the radio at all, Great AC...Shifts well. Love those seats.

- Pros
- A good deal and financing.
- Cons
- Cheap plastic interior and noisy, very noisy, sunroof.

This car is not quite what I expected in 2012 after buying the LE as a new car in 2010. I bought new Toyotas in 1992 and 1999 (with a sunroof). They were excellent on reliability in the long term. If that long-term reliability holds, the annoyances with the 2010 will be worth it. If not, I'll look elsewhere. People like me who buy Corollas are not buying for public display but private reliability. In this 2010, the interior is mostly plastic and feels cheap. The 1992 and 1999 had cloth interiors. The little box for the electronic parking/garage door opening cards is way down on the driver's left hand side. The 1999 was immediately left of the steering column. The 2010 holder is much clumsier and harder to use. The sunroof is really, really, really noisy when you open it on the highway. You are forced to open at least one back window (with more noise) to relieve the ear pressure that you feel unless you do that. The windshield column on the front passenger's side holding the airbag literally "pops off" and you have to slam it back into place. The rear end is much higher than the trunk. As a result, you cannot see the trunk out the rear window when backing into a parking space or parallel parking. I had NONE of these "fit and finish" or "design" problems in the 1992 or the 1999 (with a sunroof). This 2010 has a "J" Vin Number. That means it was made in Japan. The American VIN numbers do not start with a J. This 2010 LE is a disappointment on design as well as fit and finish. These problems will be worth it only if the reliability of this 2010 is like the 1992 and 1999 (with sunroof). If "fit and finish" and "design" issues are good indications about long-term reliability, I am as sure about this 2010 Corolla LE as I was with the 1992 and 1999. Time will tell with Toyota....read morehide
