I currently drive a 2001 Toyota Highlander and scoped out the features for the 2004 V6 4x2 Limited version with leather. I must say it is well equipped and the price is very attractive. The 2004 version is equipped with the new 230hp 3.3L with 5 gears than 4 like the previous models so you get a little better power and gasoline mileage. In comparison to the Honda Pilot, both are outstanding cars. The only difference is the Honda Pilot carrying a 3.5L engine and a slightly longer body. Interior room is about the same but the Honda Pilots steering is a little stiffer so it may be more like a truck like feeling. The Highlander drives like the Camry and handles just like a sedan so I'd go for the Toyota Highlander because of its better handling and equipment.
