We planned to buy the Base model, but didn't buy it. We were very disappointed that the Engine Immobilizer is not a standard feature. It is an option which you can only get with the expensive tech package. What Toyota is doing about this? Every Ford has Engine Immobilizer as standard. Every Pilot has it too. We will purchase a Pilot, which is thousands less than a similarly equipped Highlander....read morehide

Purchased a 2010, new, after driving several makes and models of similar vehicles. Pleased so far. I down-sized from a truck, so I feel as if I am zipping around everywhere! Consistent gas mileage with 7,000 miles on car is 20 in town, 25 to 26 on highway. (I bought the 2-wheel drive.) For the size of the car, I am pleased. Very comfortable seats. I do wish I had gotten the next level of radio. I have the basic model. I miss satelitte radio. My only real dislike is the road noise. It is not horrible, but it is noticible. I don't know if it is just that my previous pick-up did not have this, or if it really is loud. I catch myself walking to my car thinking, "I love my car!" Nice....read morehide
