Purchased As New
I just want to be honest about my highlander 2011. Before buying this car, I have done a lot of test drives on many SUVs with the same size price and size range. I have considered many factors from my personal experience and consumer reports on overall quality, reliability, gas consumption, ride quality, consumer recommendations, and so on. The highlander is better met all good things we consumers looked for. Both exterior and interior parts are better built than most SUVs at the same price range. However, there are couple things that the manufacture should have done for this expensive car. Make lighter hood, but stronger body parts on the door sides. As it is now the hood is too heavy to open, but the door trims are weak andshaken inappropriately when close. The stereo sound should be as good as the Avalon. Now the quality of sound is a little worst than the Avalon. For limited edition, should put a six speed of automatic transmission. The car is very expensive, but it has only five speed automatic transmission. As I have driving Toyotas for over twenty years, I have noticed that the manufacture need to improve couple things that they have never done before. 1. They need to improve the glass quality, make it shinny, easy to clean and no water spots. Domestic cars have better quality of glasses. 2. The look is another issue that the manufacture needs to make sure all looks from different angles are pretty. Americans and Europeans focused so much on the look and comfort.
3. Comfort is a big problems. There are many consumers love the quality of the car but could not tolerate the uncomfortable seat when driving. Finally, I just wanted to thank Toyota for keeping up with the good quality of electronic parts.
