MPG is typical for a 380 hp V8, SUV. Not sure why anyone would purchase this vehicle if they were looking to save on gas. My MPG based on the trip computer between fill-ups is: Averaging 16 mpg mainly city driving. Averaging 18 mpg highway. Anyone who is getting 9 mpg must drive with a heavy foot. Purchased this mainly for reliability and dealer network in Arizona. After owning Range Rover Supercharged, I never wanted to deal with air suspension again and $1400 brake jobs, plus only 1 dealer in Phoenix. Didn't buy one although I wanted to until a good friend who is a Toyota Service Tech advised me about the terrible fuel economy. In most cases customers were complaining about MPG of 9 to 10 city and 12 to 13 MPG on the Highway. Sorry Toyota Land Cruiser your just way to thirsty.
