2005 Toyota MR2 Spyder User Reviews
- No trim specified for this review
- uniqueness, color (phantom grey, red top and leather), handling, brakes
- none, considering what I bought it for
This car turns heads! It is so rare, especially the limited edition color combo I bought (phantom grey with red top and leather which is absolutely stunning!) This color combo is very rare and only made in 04 and 05. When I saw it in person I bought it immediately.
The car looks MUCH more expensive than it really is.
Mine is a 5 speed with the rare limited slip rear differential option which was only available in 04 and 05.
Cornering agility in this car is phenominal since it is so light and midengined. It is my "fun" car and that is why I bought it, plus the attention you get is unbelievable.
Do not let the dealer or lube guys lift this car without you standing there, as improper lifting at points other than the designated "slots" can damage the rear panels underneath.
Car has a great following on spyderchat, with many aftermarket goodies such as a suspension breastplate, key hole covers, jdm colored nosebadge, short shifter, top inside strap protector sleeves, different rear wind screens, side window air deflector plate, rear top release bling plate, and many other little "add ons".
The car is a pure sportscar, and does what is was designed to do very well. It is not being made for the states anymore so its rareity and resale value will be sustained.
This is the FUNEST car I have ever owned!
