I am impressed with the space and room of this subcompact. This is my first brand new car. I like the looks and the acceleration suprised me. It can easily get up to highway speed and merge with traffic, no problem. The ride is a bit bumpy but the car is small so it is to be expected but not uncomfortable. The glare from the sun makes viewing the navigation screen difficult at times. So I just leave the voice narrator on.
The view out the back is good if you remove the backseat head rests. Better view then the regular midsize Prius.
I was driving in a thunderstorm and was suprised at the car's stability. I thought I was going to be blown off the highway but did not feel anything.
Steering is fine and braking is very good. Someone slammed on the brakes in front of me and I stopped quicky, no problem at all.
My advice. Get the top trim level. It does make a difference in your driver enjoyment. Also, to benefit most, I advise you to change your driving habits. I am getting from 60 to 70 MPG by using good driving techniques. Happy Motoring!
