2009 Toyota Prius User Reviews
4-Door Liftback shown
- $11,820 - $12,676

- Decent fuel economy for a gasoline hybrid engine
- Road noise, cheap interior, poor handling
Purchased As New
This is the worst car I have driven in a long time. While this gets rave reviews for fuel economy in the US, it still pales in comparison to the diesel hatchbacks you'll find in Europe. The overall finish is cheap, if the roads become slightly damp the traction is rubbish, cornering on dry roads is barely better, the center control panel was poorly thought out, the road noise is all the more painful because of the lack of engine noise, and the seats are uncomfortable on long journeys. I can only surmise the love that pours out for this car in the US is like a religious cult. If you want fuel economy AND a vehicle that performs give me any of the diesel hatchbacks that get 70 MPG Hwy you'll find all over Europe. This car is a poor excuse for proper engineering.
