- Excellent MPG for SUV, Roomy Interior, Good Value
- A Little Bouncy
When I started car shopping, I knew I wanted something with space and good gas milage - I know, asking for a miracle. Having previously owned a wagon, I was looking for something that had cargo space for when I needed to haul thing along with people, the wagon was previously perfect, but the gas milage wasn't as great.
I browsed everything at first, and being 6'6" the first test was space. I needed to be able to fit in the vehicle I was to be driving! I tried the CR-V, the Element, Escape, Outback, and Forester. Some had the space but the price was unreal, others were shockingly small (the Element - who can fit in there?!?!).
I went to Toyota and tried the Matrix and the Rav-4. Both had the space and fuel economy I was looking for. I finally settled on the Rav-4 because it had 4WD. Living in Wisconsin, you're a little better off with 4WD. The car has surpassed all my expectations and everytime I get into it I'm amazed. From the MP3 player to the adjustable back seats, Toyota has thought of everything you could need in a car. It also has more headroom than my last car giving me more interior space!! It's amazing, and I even fit in the back seat!
If you're looking for a compact SUV (it's actually shorter than my last wagon!) with good gas milage and space to hall people or things, the Rav-4 is the vehicle for you. It's everything you need in a car, very versatile.
