2006 Toyota RAV4
There are 4 user reviews for the Base V6 4X2 trim shown below
- plenty of leg room in the back seat
- it doesn't get 29 mpg on the highway
My wife and two children are very satisfied with our RAV4. The V6 has plenty of power.

- Standard powerful 6 cylinder engine, nice look
- hard to find, pricey
Comfortable ride. One of the chief difference with the I4 4x2 is that it is lot quieter. Advantage over CRV as CRV (even 2007) doesnot offer a 6 cylinder engine. You need power for a vehicle of this size. I am 100% satisfied. The only cons I can think of is lowe mileage ( 24-28 ), but this partially may be because i am comparing this with my old Civic. One startling observation is that these V6 Base 4x2 are very very very hard to find. But overall three cheers to Toyota RAV4....read morehide

- sweet sounding 4 delivers more than enough power.1000 miles of 28+ MPG.
- A little pricy, but has lots of great standard features
I am extremely pleased with this SUV.The 166hp 2.4 does it all for us with some to spare. In all around driving I have yet to get below 28 MPG.My base 4x2 has the roof rack, running lights and 17 in.styled steel wheels as options...perfect for carrying kayaks and a ton of other stuff inside.Toyota has hit the nail with this little beauty, the steering is crisp, quick and precise and the handleing and ride are totally satisfying, predictable and solid. The little beauty is BRIGHT RED!...read morehide

- Fuel Economy, Smooth Ride, Great Engine, Sexy Look, SPACE
- Not many "standard" features
My wife and I chose this vehicle after looking at a car at our local Toyota dealer. This is one sexy looking car with a low point of gravity, making it very safe when it comes to roll-overs. Our last vehicle was a Scion tC so this is a change but in a lot of good ways! It has a HUGE amount of space in the rear, especially when the middle row of seats fold down. It will definately server its purpose on trips! Also, the engine is amazing... it really reacts quick and moves as fast as you want. I like the 5-speed transmission, it actually runs around the same rpm in 4th gear as our tC did, so that extra 5th gear is great on the egine and great on fuel. It is very comfortable and has little wind noise, unlike some other reviews have said. Yesterday was a very windy day and I would say it was moderate for a windy day but when there's little wind, it's not very noisy. The ride is comfortable too... we have the 17 inch wheels and find it plenty smooth down the highway. The rack on the roof will be nice and useful. Overall, it's a great feeling, riding, and looking SUV! Best fuel economy of any non-hybrid SUV. I wish it came standard with a power moonroof and dual climate control but we can live without those. It should also come standard with Daytime Running Lights and have the black interior option on the Base model too, not just the sport. That's all the negative I can really say about it....read morehide
