2006 Toyota RAV4
There are 11 user reviews for the Base V6 4X4 trim shown below
- power, interior space, fuel economy, true suv ride
- no 5spd v6
I have read alot of these reviews and the one thing that sticks out is people complaining about the ride. The ride is a little stiff thats because it is a suv not a station wagon. I applaud toyota for sticking to its roots and not making the suvs with a cushy station wagon ride. This vehicle is capable offroad. Although theground clearance is a little low. The stiff suspension keeps the vehicle from bottoming out and helps in handling. Alot of these people complaining about ride need to shop for a one of the suvs marketed to the masses of city driving. I bought a f150 and was shocked on how cushy the ride is. If you take it off pavement over 5mph your on the bumpstops. That is not the case with the rav4. This is the first toyota I have owned since my 84 pickup with the little 4 banger. The ride on the interstate seemed pretty good for avehicle like this. I test drove several competiters vehicles and this one was far and away the best. The base model comes with alot of great features and the v6 is amazing. Sports car like acceleration. If you dont believe me check the performance reports in several magzines. I did not drive the 4cyl so I cannot comment on that engine. My base model has a locking differential add that to the increased interior room, v6 and alot of nice extras and there is no comparible vehicle for 24,500 thats what I paid.
