- Great power, fuel economy.
- Doors dont automatically lock when you start driving.
Ive had mine for 2 weeks and have 600 miles on it. I had a minivan for the last 8 years so Ive been having fun with all the power! Once I quit stomping on the gas Im sure Ill do better than the 21 mpg Ive been getting. The other V6 4x4s are only rated to get 18-19 in town. I started looking at the small SUVs last fall. I tested them all and was waiting for the new RAV. Boy am I glad I waited, the V6 is awesome, 269 HP and 21-28 mpg. I took my husband out to test drive vehicles 3 weeks ago. First we stopped at Suzuki, then Ford and finally Toyota. All it took was a test drive for him to see why I was stuck on the RAV. My kids love the reclining backseats and leg room. A 62 coworker had plenty of room in both the front and backseat. We were able to negotiate for $400 over the invoice listed on Yahoo and Edmunds websites. Besides my husbands great negotiating skills (he loves to barter), I think the key was letting the dealer know we didnt have to have it today and were willing to order one if needed. We took delivery of one that came from the factory the next week. Mine is Everglade metallic green with gray interior and Ive gotten lots of compliments on it. The week after I got it we received 17 inches of snow and ice. The on demand 4x4 worked great! I'm vertically challenged, only 5'2" so the telescoping steering wheel is a nice bonus.
