- good mpg, stylish look, peppy, plenty of room in the back
- poor driving leg room, uncomfortable front seats, no noise indication if lights are left on
I have had my 06 Rav 4 for less than one month and have already had a fair share of problems. The first week I had a flat tire and the tire pressure indicator light came on. I installed the spare and had to plug up the bad tire. The indicator light will not go out until the new spare is fixed and put back on the vehicle. Apparently there are sensors in each of the five tire valve stems. The v6 base model does not come with a reset switch like the other models do. If you use your spare you need to get the fifth tire fixed in order for the indicator light to go out. The second week I had a rock hit the windshield and chip it. It didn't need replacing, thank god. So far I have had to pay for the tire and windshield repair. Now after all this rain we have been having I found my passenger floorboard completely soaked with water ranging from way up under the dashboard to the start of the seat. Not sure what the cause is just yet. The window has been up all the way and the windshield was not replaced. I'm off to the dealer on Monday. I should have stuck with my toyota tacoma.
