2006 Toyota RAV4
There are 6 user reviews for the Sport I4 4X2 trim shown below
- Good gas mileage
- The driver seat is the most uncomfortable I've ever had.
It does not take small inclines well. Compared to my last SUV (CRV) the RAV4 does not compare. I wish I still had the CRV.

- gas miser, nice clean feel, gauge, roomy
- no compass;engine noise
I had doubts at first but I am now lovin' my car! bought it last 7/22.
its really a fuel miser.good for city driving and running errands. a comfort of a car with the edge of an mini suv.
fuel consumption would be the best feature plus the other new safety features it came with.

- Lot's of room, cargo space, good fuel economy, Smooth ride...
- really... it's deos'nt have many con's, I reseached other mini suvs and the RAV4 Sport rocks!
Love the car... everything about it, to the ipod plug-in in the armrest to the cargo nets and bag holders in the trunk. Car get's o.k. gas milage ( about 23-25 miles a gallon), ride is comfortable. I would suggest you get the satilite radio... We were offered free siruis sat radio for one year. The jbl sat radio has a function that controls the radio volume to increase auto matically as the noise of the engine gets higher.... I have become a Toyota fan.. My wife has a 2001 celica with 140k in miles that is as strong as it was when she bought it.. I love toyota cars because they run forever....read morehide

- Smooth ride, good handling, lots of space
- fuel economy
I rented one of these and put 1000 miles on it in 4 days. I only got 24mpg on the interstate with the A/C on. This is way off from the 30mpg on the sticker. I liked the minimal body lean, it doesn't feel tipsy like some SUVs. It was quieter than both my Volvos on the interstate. I was able to pack a lot of stuff into the back of it. I was very impressed with it besides the gas mileage....read morehide

- Best car in its class, great interior, amazing exterior
- Small problems that will be fixed in future editions
This is my first new car and I wanted to make it worth while. I bought the Sport Ed, 4x2, Pacific Blue, with JBL, Side-curtain airbags, and sunroof.
It's amazing on all points. The exterior is hot with nice angles and great headlamps. There were a few body colors I wanted, but the Pacific Blue is amazing. It's much nicer looking than the other ones I've seen on the road.
The sound system is great. I bought the JBL because I was either going to go for the best or just rip out the stock. The JBL comes with a subwoofer and an amp, which kick. My only complaint is that at times the speakers seems to pop when the bass is too high. The aux input in the consol was also a major plus. Noise problems can be fixed with a ground loop isolator. Five bucks at Radio Shack.
The 17in wheels look amazing on the Sport. The ride is probably a little less smooth because of the larger rims, but it really makes the car look classy. The ride is smooth overall and there is plenty of room in the front and back row seats.
My biggest complaint is with the lights inside the car. At night, when opening the back there is very little light.
Gas is great on the freeway, but could be better intown. It has plenty of power even with the 4-cylinder. V6 was definitely awesome when test driving, but gas prices were a huge factor in my purchase.
I looked at plenty of other SUVs in the same class and decided the new RAV4 is way beyond the competition. You know that this Toyota is going to last for 10 years, it has a nicer interior and exterior than the CRV, and the price was reasonable. There is not a better car on the road for $25 grand....read morehide

- easy driving, easy access, cargo space
- noisy,,noisy,, price..(more expensive than 2007 camry)
I drove it on a highway..noise is serious,,but don't try to compare it to a smooth sedan like camry because it is a compact suv..
