We've put over 16,500 trouble-free miles on our 2006 RAV4, V6 Sport AWD in less than a year. This qualifies us as good, honest judges of the vehicle's merits and minor faults for any potential RAV buyers out there. First off, we love the RAV as it has exceeded all of our expectations. We needed the room, and we wanted the power of the V6 (Which is amazing, by the way;0-60 in 6.3 secs, 14 sec 1/4 mile). We agree with others on this forum about the cloth seat quality and lack of complete bolstering and adjustment. Electrically adjustable seats are the better choice, especially for long trips. We are not audiophiles, so the bone-stock stereo is O.K. for us. On trips, the RAV V6 got 26 mpg at "above average" speeds and passing power was instantaneous (Even on mountain roads)! The ride is smooth, on smooth roads...kind of jiggly on any other surface (Make sure you drive the RAV "Base" or "Limited" to compare). Exterior size is just right, but the turning circle radius is huge (Don't try any single lane U-turns!). Overall a teriffic, family, do-it-all vehicle that we are very pleased with.
