- Great MPG - Perfect Size - All about the family.
- Yes, cup holders are an afterthought. Rear hatch window should slide down.
Purchased As New
This was absolutely the perfect choice. I am 6'1" and have leg-room to spare. The rear seats slide back to create more room for passengers. The reclining rear seats are a god-send for my 5 and 4 year old kids on long trips. Over-all after long weekends researching different models, I'd say this was a great buy....read morehide

- Very good fuel economy,easy steering,smooth ride
- tire pressure indicator light keeps going on even when tires are full
Traded my 2004 Xterra in 4 months ago...what a gass guzzler and what a plesant switch to the Rav4. Just wish it were a little higher like the Nissan. Am a first time Toyota fan

- Very pleased with highway milage: recent trip of over 2000 miles we averaged 27.7.
- A little noisy with rear windows open at highway speed.
Much happier with this car than our previous Merc Mariner. It is much more fuel efficient and has less road noise.

Not so happy about this car. Speed limits is very hard to read. Very noisy-Can't have a conversation with window down. strange vibration on freeway drive. Poor stereo. Bumpy ride on local drive. Poor design on AUX device & power input. No automatic door lock. Seat is very uncomfortable.

- Roomy, great back seat and storage
- The interior is light tan cloth and I worry that it will show dirt.
It's our first Toyota and we are very pleased with it. We went in to test drive a Matrix and decided on a RAV 4

- gas sipper, cute
- Has the jitters...front seat could be more comfortable
If you don't mind the rickety ride over normal pavement, and horrid ride over speed bumps and rough pavement, then consider this one. Quite noisy/whiny at times and transmistion shifts were sometimes not very smooth.
Driiver seat just barely ok....not sure why it is so highly rated, needs more adjustments. (Adding after market seat support helped) but being a Toyota with their great reputation probably biases a reviewer. The rear seat did not fold down as flat as it should nor the passenger seat. So just not as well designed on the inside as some competitors. Materials seem good. Had decent power for a 4 cyllinder. Switch to a different manufacterer's small SUV for better comfort, interior design and road feel.
No probs except window getting stuck down....was under warranty...
This one went to car heaven and I got a different SUV from another foreign country....read morehide

- Fuel Economy, third row, cargo room
- cloth interior, no backup sensors, third row entry
I've owned my new RAV4 for a month now, and am really enjoying it! I went from a minivan, and am so happy to have a more fuel efficient vehicle.
I've been averaging 24-26 mpg, with very little to no highway driving! It is a joy to not have sticker shock at the pump.
We opted for the third row, since I have 3 children to tow. My youngest (ages 4 and 6) sit in the back row, comfortably in their booster seats. The older one is in the middle row, and happy there. I can re-arrange them as they get older, and I like that option. It is nice to know I can have my children's friends with me when I need to carpool, too.
The price was fantastic, compared to other third row haulers with much better fuel efficiency....read morehide

- noisy, bumpy, rough
Good car, just noisier, bumpier than the camry. I would rather buy another car, such as the Highlander or better. However, it comes with the price.

- It's a Toyota
- Outside spare tire
I've been test driving Rav style SUV/Crossovers vehicles... I keep going back to Rav... I 'am 6'3" @ 250 lbss & I find it easy to enter & exit from the vehicle without doing the Monkey act... I ask myself,,, Do I want to foerfit 2 to 3 MPG's for the comfort of the Rav... At this point,,, I say yes... I am looking @ 4X2 4cyl. for most MPG's... But,,, I hear that the 09 will have a front end ( Grill) change & the spare tire is going inside... I went on the internet & searched 2009 Rav and got some photos of Japans version of Rav,,, Better known as Vangard...Rumor is that it will be the 09,,, But don't quoit me on that...Hopefully,,, That will be my vehicle of choise... O Yes,,, When it Snows,,, I stay Home !!!...read morehide
