- Good looking, dependable.
- Rock-hard rear seats, crappy tires (Toyo), low quality dashboard controls, cheap feel all around...

This vehicle is just OK. I would not buy it again if I had more time to have shopped around a bit. My car was totalled, and my insurance company gave me four days to return my rental car. I was pressed for time, so I bought this RAV4.
The vehice looks great, and drives pretty nicely. The Toyo tires are low quality garbage, and the controls are very low quality as well. Everything inside this vehicle is cheap plastic-like junk. The seats in the rear are almost unusable. Unless you have little kids, good luck placing an adult's rear end on these for more than a few blocks. They are hard and feel like there is no padding inside of them. In fact, they feel like you are sitting on stone. I also agree with the last guy when he said that the automatic locking feature is a MUST! I have not seen many new cars that don't have it. I believe it is standard on almost all vehicles. My other Toyotas have had it, so I am not sure why they skimmped out on this model.
The vehicle rides pretty smoothly, but the car is actually kind of noisy. Also, the little compartments that are near the console are pretty worthless. Not sure what they are even there for! The arm rest\CD holder between the front seats is even too low, and makes your arm uncomfortable while driving.
Overall, I would give this RAV4 a 2.5 out of 5. I may end up trading in the vehicle sooner rather than later just because it has such a low quality feel to it. It might be a vehicle that runs 300K miles...I am just saying it feels cheap! My 2005 Toyota Sienna feels like a luxury vehicle compared to this, and it is 5 years older than my new RAV....read morehide

We just turned in a leased FWD 2006 Rav4 with a 6 cylinder engine. Our new FWD 2010 has a 4cylinder......after a couple of close calls when turning in front of people we have had to change our driving habits!!!!!!!!!!!
