2008 Toyota Sequoia

- Love the way it tows, the way it rides, the comfort and the reliability
- One could say fuel economy but why should I, I bought it to tow and haul lots of kids and gear
Purchased As Used
So far we have really loved the rig. It is so nice on long trips and the way it tows our stuff.
Was a little on the more costly side to purchase. I could have gone back to the GM Yukon but with it's poor reliability I chose to spend a little more and go back to Toyota. I owned two Toyota trucks in the past and loved them and didn't have much if any repairs along the way....read morehide

- Great engine power, awesome agressive external looks and wonderful internal.
- My only con is gas mileage, but hey, having a 5.7L engine with all that horse power, who cares.
Purchased this SUV in November '08. I am glad I made this purchase. I was also looking at the Lincoln MKX and Buick Enclave, but these SUV's had too many CONS from other buyers, such as the lack of engine horse power. I love the engine and style of the '08 Sequoia. I highly recommend this vehicle to any buyer looking for an SUV with horse power. I have had many compliments on my purchase and doubt any other automobile manufacturer can beat Toyota at this point....read morehide

- Of course great room for our family of 8. You feal like king of the road.
- Only con is the front grill little bit cheap.
We are a Toyota family for almost 19yrs. We had an 03' Sequoia, so in comparison this truck is tighter and more powerful, with the same fuel milage, and the kids and adults have a much easier time getting into the third row seats, everything is adjustable on the seats. We traded our RX300 in for this and I have to say that the family is much happier. Very good build quality with the exception of the front grill. We went with the SR5 and upgraded to leather, running boards, rear wing, and upgraded stereo with blue tooth a very nice feature. After reading all of the books that come with the vehicle maintanance is so minimal other than oil changes every 5000. So all in all I think that we have made a very good decision for our family....read morehide

- Graet room inside! Feels like your navigating from a recliner in your living room
- downslope of rear trunk area 9with seats folded down
I have had this new SUV for about 1 month and have had a blast driving it......I previously owned a Dodge Ram PU and a Chrysler Aspen Limited. Fuel economy is comparible, but Sequoia performed
much more responsively to the road with a very tight turning radius
for a large SUV.....I call it THE BEAST.......Alll cars/trucks move out of my way when they see me coming! You have the rugged/raw horsepower of a 381HP - V8, with the comfort usually reserved for
a cadillac or other luxury vehicle.....You can't tell I'm Thrilled with my
new SUV! I will never buy any other make than toyota in the future!...read morehide

- Great Exterior & Styling, Smooth ride, Lots of space
- Cheap interior, Mechanical problems
I purchased a new 2008 Toyota Sequoia few days ago and after driving only 60 miles, I had to get it towed back to the dealer because of faulty wiring. I took my family in the new SUV to a nice restaurant in Beverly Hills, from where I had to tow it back to the dealer as it would not start. I called my car club, and they sent an alarm specialist, but he could not solve the problem. It was a nightmare for all of us. I had to call a taxi to send my family home, for which I had to pick up the tab. Before I got my new Sequoia towed, I called the Toyota HQ, but unfortunately they hung up on me on my first call. Even on my second call they were very slow to respond and they have not called me back to inquire about the status of the problem. After waiting for this new Sequoia model for a couple of years, I thought I was making a great upgrade from my old Toyota 4-Runner, which I drove for 8 years, but now I feel this second generation Sequoia is a terrible product....read morehide

- Well built SUV, efficient 5.7L engine, lots of cubby space
- Some blind spots in rear view mirror
We purchased a 2008 SR5 5.7L 4x2 two week ago. We love the vehicle. On a road trip from Phoenix to Tucson and back, we averaged over 20 mpg travelling 75 mph. For family vacations, we tow a 2700 lb travel trailer. I wanted a reliable vehicle that could seat 6 and easily tow our trailer. This SUV does it all--and it has Toyota quality.
If you're not afraid of $4/gallon gas, now is the time to puy. I believe the $2,000 rebate expires on June 3rd....read morehide
