- Better fuel econ & interior space than Land Cruiser, handles like a car on HWY, & like SUV in snow.
- No Spare Tyre, Run flats too expensive.
I really Love this vehicle. I am really happy that Toyota made the forward step of making AWD an available option on its minivan. On the other side of the coin, Chrysler made a backward step by eliminating the AWD model for 05, because of stow & go seating, which I believe was totally unnecessary. I had a Chrysler T&C (1997) AWD, before, and My 05 XLE LTD AWD is more powerful, and gives better mileage than my T&C, and handles better in snow because of higher ground clearance.
I am not too happy that my rear seats do not recline, unlike those in my T&C. I am also not too pleased about the exclusion of a spare tyre for AWD models. Anyway, I bought myself a full sized spare.
I paid $42000 for my model, which I thought was a bit pricey, but I won't complain because the T&C LTD AWD for 04 was selling for the same price.
Good Job Toyota, because you are now the best minivan on the market, and the only one for 2005 offering AWD as an option, without being a gas guzzler CONGRATULATIONS!!!!...read morehide
