- Comfort, driving ease, performance
- Disappointed in mileage
In love with this car. Bought it for safety for our kids after doing much safety research (#17 safest car as ranked by InsInstituteHiwySafety) since all our neighbors drive 3 ton trucks and SUVs need protection! Consider it a luxury vehicle. Just returned from week in Yosemite & snow & rain and was pleasure to drive with zero fatigue seven hours. Love all the bells, whistles, controls, sound system, leather seats, handling, and appearance/styling makes me proud; kids much safer in second row seats....read morehide

- Got about what was expected.
- Fuel econamy could be better but still not too bad. Option package leaves a lot to be desired.
Nice to drive. Nice to ride in. Just do not expect to get anything much extra by paying for the JBL sound system. Oh it plays OK if you want only FM and AM radio but in spite of the sticker and the literature the radio is not "satellite capable". Yeah sure it can be made to receive satellite signals if you buy more equipment and have it attached to the radio. Big deal !! Your doorknob is "satllite capable" if you spend enough money to hang the right equipment on it. As Toyota sells it you CAN NOT receive a radio broadcast from a satellite...read morehide

- Problems w/ Check Engine, VSC Trac Off lights
If you buy this minivan, beware not only of the product but also the service morons at the dealership you buy from!
The Check Engine and VSC Trac Off lights came on over 1 mo ago. Our 2007 Sienna had abt 6000 miles. We read the manual and called the Service Dept. Was told, problem due to loose gas cap. Wait. Lights may go off. After 1 wk, brought it in. Diag says O2 sensor broken. Took over a wk for part to come in. Fixed on Mon. We drove for 2 days. Wed - the lights are on again. This time, service dept told us they fix the wrong O2 sensor and cannot remove the faulty one off the part (welded in?). Have to change the whole catalytic converter. We have not seen our van for almost 2 weeks now. Everytime we call the dealer (Pauly Toyota in Crystal Lake, IL), we get a song and dance and our calls on hold and get passed around.
Wondering if I have a lemon 2007 Sienna. I will not be buying another Toyota nor will I deal w/ this dealer after the warranty ends.
Why does the VSC turned off when the Check Engine light comes on? Noticed older Sienna has same problems. Recalls?...read morehide

- Fuel economy, comfort, interior room, automatic hatch
We've had our 2007 Sienna since Memorial day and I am so happy with our purchase. I did loads of research before purchasing and was pretty set on getting the Honda. I even told my husband to just go buy it after he drove both the toyota and honda. I didn't want to even consider the toyota even though Consumer reports ranks it higher. I've always wanted the honda. My husband convinced me to drive them both and was shocked when I told him to go back to Toyota and get the Sienna. It is so comfortable and quiet. The honda is loud as many complain and personally I had a hard time visually in the honda. I love everything about this van. We get pretty good gas mileage averaging around 23-24 mpg and that is highway and city driving. Ours rides so smooth and rides like a luxury sedan. I have absolutely no complaints about our vehicle and would recommend anyone that is looking for a van to drive as many as possible before making a decision. I can't say enough how happy I am that my husband made me drive the toyota...I probably would have been happy with the honda but given the choice the sienna was the winner hands down!...read morehide

- Not Great but that's to ecpexted.
- Transmission is sluggish
Very nice van with great features. Alot of trunk space in the back mwell. More room than any vehicle out there. Rides great and handles very well. The transmission is scaring us but the dealer assures us it's working properly.

- 7 passengers, options packages
Toyota's option packages are to confusing, before you know it, your at $40,000. Can't have this option without these two, but not with this one, it needs to be more straight forward.
The XLE does not come with an 8 passenger option?
The seating was not very comfortable, but I can't hold that against them to much, being 6'5", it is hard to find a comfortable car, truck, or van. My wife who is much smaller than I am did not find the seating very comfortable either.
I just did not find that the van was worth the money they are asking, pays to keep looking...read morehide

- Comfort seats for the first 2 rows, safety, good fuel economy
- sliding doors jammed after 70K, watched out. It costs you 5K to fix it by the dealership.
Overall I liked my 2002 Sienna XLE until the right sliding door failed.
It happened right after the warranty so I had to pay out of my pocket.
Bought back to the dealership for service and it costs me over 5K and the door still cannot close automatically. The service manager said it's the computer chip problem. It works to open but not reliable....read morehide

- Never got the chance to find any
- Dealerships are filled with salesmen that should not even be selling water on a hot summer day.
Tried three different dealerships to test drive the new 2007 sienna XLE with DVD and Navagation, never even got to drive one! First dealership took me out in a 2006 trying to make me a good deal on that, second had me waiting for 30 minutes, did not even have one in stock, third one only wanted to sell the limited, would not even show me the XLE. May be a good van (little expensive with all the options), but never got a chance to check it out. After the third dealer fiasco, went across the street and closed the deal on a new honda, could not be happier. All i owned before the honda was toyotas, I do not think a toyota will be in my future, look at the honda, you will not be sorry!!!!...read morehide

- It is better than Honda Odyssey.
- Still not the best van
The Honda Odyssey is OK, the Toyota Sienna is better and the Dodge Caravan is the best. That is in looks, performance, MPG, comfort, ride, reliability and roadworthiness!

- Good Fuel Eonomy, Great Ride, Telescoping steering wheel, AWD optional
- Long Braking distances, confusing packages
Excellent car, my number 1 choice for minivans. Stands out in the crowd. an excellent choice. Rides like a lexus, but the road noise is a bit pronounced. We love the van and couldn't have chose better. For 2007, get the TOYOTA SIENNA XLE AWD with a 3.5 liter engine, it rocks the world!!!!!!!!!! Only compromise: 2-power-sliding doors or 8 seats?...read morehide
