2008 Toyota Sienna

- Smooth Ride, Laser Cruise Control
- Air Bag Sensor light already blew out
Decent Power, Capable handling, lots of room, especially with the 3rd row folded down. Plenty of safety features as well. By far the most luxurious minivan out there w/AWD

- nice features
- unreliable/too many repairs
We bought our new Toyota Sienna Limited AWD Minivan Oct. 2007. Engine light illuminated on the way home from the dealer. We were initially told it would be a simple computer replacement. Two weeks after the purchase we were told it needed a new transmission and torque box. After the transmission and torque box were replaced we were notified the "new" transmission was defective and they had to order another "new" transmission and torque box. We later learned they actually used remanufactured transmissions for the repairs. After that we noticed red fluid leaking from the engine. Two more returns to the repair shop were made to tighten hoses and finally replace a leaking axial seal. About 2-3 months later the enigine light illuminated again. While we were traveling 55 mph (with our children in the vehicle), the reverse light illuminated, the back up camera activated, and all the doors unlocked. Additional trips to the repair shop lead to the replacement of the reverse neutral switch. About one month later our entire navigation system stopped working. The entire unit had to be replaced. We are completely unhappy with our decision to purchase our first (and last) Toyota. Very poor quality....read morehide

- makes life with kids so much easier; travel is great
- Black Sienna hard to find; dealers couldn't locate one?..makes no sense
We've had the Sienna for 3 years and not one problem. Love the sleek look, the comfortable ride, the spacious inside, the sliding middle seats make for easy entry of kids without having to climb past other passengers.
Love the trunk space for strollers and/or packages...
Greatest feature....automatic closing of rear door with just a tug of the handle or press of a button. Easy to close with baby carrier and/or child in arms or during a rain storm or snowy day.
Easy to drive for shorter people, and it drives and parks like a Jeep. Not bulky and long like some other models and not high and huge like Tahoe, Suburban, etc. Great on gas. Approx $49 to fill up compared to a friends Tahoe which is $90 to fill.
Back up camera and sensors are great with small kids and bad weather.
Silver is very easy to keep clean. Wish we could have had black, though. They told us it was too hard to locate and not possible.
If we had to say one thing bad, it would be that the selection of colors available didn't appeal to us. And the interior choices seemed blah.
It would be nice to be able to have a few different color options.
We would absolutely recommend the Sienna. At least as a new car purchase. Can't speak for the used ones, but it has been effortless and enjoyable....read morehide

- Don't fight it, get the Odyssey!
- Price, fuel mileage, low quality, rattles, poor ride1
I recommend to buy the Honda Odyssey instead of this high priced and low value van. It eats too much gas, just like the Odyssey, but ride and looks are better!
