2010 Toyota Sienna
There are 2 user reviews for the CE FWD with 8 Passenger Seating trim shown below
- 8 seats - super flexible
- driver's seat not as good as it should
Purchased As New
we bought it because it was the cheapest 8 seat car available - as in 8 real seats. I have 3 children car seats at anytime, sometime 4 or 5. I move the seating pattern at least once per week - folding one seat, removing one, seating all the kids in the middle row, or only on one side as needed, depending on friends and weather. The only caveat would be that it's not a full 8 seats, but more a 7 and a half - due to the smaller size of the middle seat at the back (all the other seats can sit a 6ft adult without a problem, and without breaking their knee cap.
So for the use and ease of the 8 seats, it's a perfect car. The only difficult part is to carry a removable seat more than 5 ft in the garage (heavy and bulky).
We bought the scotchguard treatment, so whenever we clean the car, it comes out pristine as new regardless of the snacks smashed on the floor. BTW - very easy to clean.
Engine is as oversized as it can be. I sold an RSX to buy this car and I never felt I lost any power. Parallel parking in steep San Francisco streets is not a problem. All the power and transmission is available as needed (transmission could be fine tuned for more smoothness) . If anything there is too much power on a wet or slippery road.
Comfort. There is one item driving me crazy. I loved the sport seats of my RSX, and the sienna lacks some excellent driver's seat. The foam is too mushy so you might want to consider additional lombard support (higher versions are not any better, I sat in all the trim versions, hoping to buy an upgraded seat - and they are all the same - same foam under cloth or leather).
As for reliability, I'm sorry about the other owner's review, and I can only speak for my car - which has been working perfectly so far.
MPG measured (100 miles average - medium load)
Stop and go city nightmare + heating/cooling the car. lowest measured 11mpg. usually 15-17mpg.
Highway 5 no stop. highest measured. 27mpg. usually 23mpg.
My conclusion is that as a "cheapest 8 seat car available" it gets a 5 stars. But overall, the car could be improved enough that I give only 4 stars....read morehide

- Its a van, you get space
- Awful maintenance and continual repairs
Purchased As New
This car is awful and do not recommend it to anyone. Yes, the car is a minivan, so I don't expect style. But, This car is ALWAYS in the shop! I go thru brakes every 10K miles, the starter broke on me, now the radiator is cracked. I bring this car in for all of its required maintenance, but in the shop additionally because of the continual problems with the brakes. I have the car in the shop every other month, and the cheapest I get out of there, brakes cost approximately $300 a job. This is my first Toyota, and will be my last....read morehide
