- Good fuel economy, very reliable, easy to park
- No standard cruise control, tachometer, center arm rest
Purchased As New
The 2007 Yaris was my 1st new car purchased from a dealership. Previous vehicle was a V8 1/2 ton pickup with 180k miles. Bought Yaris when gas was $4.50 a gallon and truck was starting to become a money pit with repairs needed to keep running. Plus, the truck only got 10-15 mpg due to the fact that worn-out engine had 180k miles.
I love my 2007 yaris. I can get 45 mpg on the highway, and very little maintenance noted except standard items (fluid changes, oil &filter, tune up, coolant flush, replace hoses, new tires). Original clutch and brakes still good after 75K miles. Plus, it's actually semi-peppy for a 106 hp subcompact with the manual transmission.
It's no Lexus, and I didn't expect leather heated seats, 400 hp, 1000 W stereo, and GPS for the price. The only real complaints were lack of standard tach, cruise control, and center arm rest for front seats-I understand Toyota installed tach and cruise control in later models. I bought aftermarket center arm rest within 2 weeks of driving off Toyota lot.
