- good fuel economy
- had some 2 items break in first month
It is great gas mileage, it looks small and compact but there is alot of room inside. When we test drove it my husband looked cramped (He's 6'1") but he said it is so roomy, better thatn our last car, a corolla and our friend who is bigger than my husband said the back was so roomy, that also was more roomier than our last car and that was a bigger car. The price was amazing and it came w/ everything power. I missed that in my old Corolla which cost so much more and had no extra features. Great car in so many ways!!!...read morehide

- 43MPG with the 4 door sedan and auto trans.
- Needs a telescoping steering column and arm rest.
I got 43.5 MPG mixed city/freeway on my first tank after break-in. Great MP3/WMA capable stereo, nice features, quiet ride, really saves on ga$.

- Roomy for a small car and good interior layout. Good on gas. I like it. Huge trunk.
- Ride could be less bumpy and you have to trade engine power for good mileage.
I bought it in April 2008 after getting 189,000 miles on my Toyota Corolla - they took it in trade.
I'm happy with the 4-door Yaris and with the dealer. I know Toyotas are reliable and thats what I wanted, along with excellent gas mileage.

- Fuel economy, interior room
- Terrible dash, headlights fog up, manual mirrors, styling, cheap interior, no armrest, noise
If only gas prices weren't so high so as to persuade me to buy this mistake of a car. Yes the fuel economy is good and the interior provides just enough room to get by. After 6 months of ownership and a Winter of driving I consider this car a mistake. The headlights have a residue in them that reduces night time visibility and have needed to be replaced. The manually adjustable exterior mirrors are a pain to adjust. The dash is just plain weird. Where the instruments used to be is a big blob of plastic. The actual dash is in the center that forces me to take my eyes off the road for too long which I consider a safety hazard! The interior is serviceable but very cheaply made, especially the plain hard seats that are covered in a very hard to clean material. Why is there no center armrest? Highway driving reveals lots of noise and do be careful if going over 75 MPH as this car gets very unstable. The exterior is as boring as a Corolla or Camry and mostly goes ignored which can be both a good thing and a bad thing. I can't complain too much on the sluggish pickup power considering the mileage.
If doing it all over again, I would have bought something a bit bigger and more substantially made. This car is strictly a cheaply made commuter special if your only concern is mileage....read morehide

- Great fuel economy, great looking car, very very comfortable and great trunk space
- Needs a little more pep and middle dashboard you need to get used to.
I absolutely love this car. It was like made for me. Not only is it a great looking car but it has more room then you think as I am currently moving and I am able to fit six big boxes in the trunk and five boxes in the back seat. The gas milage is the best part. I purchased this vehicle just for that reason as I previously owned a Ford Escape and was paying over $100 a week as opposed to only $40.00 on the Yaris a week!!!! Also a surprise is how it handles. It's very easy on the turns. I highly recommend purchasing this vehicle....read morehide

- 42 MPG + !!!!
I have put 23,000 miles on my 2007 Yaris in 6 months and not one single complaint! I drive 95% highway (cruise set @ 70) and average 42 to 44 MPG!!! Feels like a much bigger car than it looks. Toyota engineers got it right again! Too bad American car makers can't follow the leader. Plenty of pick-up around town; and cruises down the highway nicely. I highly recommend!!!...read morehide

- great value for your dollar, excellent alternative to rising gas price. Lots of power for a little
- a little road noise but tolerable.
First bought one in January 2007 for one my daughters and my family love it so much that we decided to buy another one in August in the same year. Let me tell you what a great decision we made especially now these days that the price of regular unleaded gas is now over $ 4 per gallon. TOYOTA did a fantastic job on styling as well. the Yaris is the little version of the new Camry....read morehide

- FUN CAR TO DRIVE, GREAT GAS MILAGE.
- CENTER CONSOLE DISPLAY
I own a 2007 Corolla ce 4dr. Some woman went thru a stop sign and hit me so I had to bring it to the shop and get a rental. They gave me a 2008 yaris 4dr. I thought it would be a cheap entry vehilce (Suzuki). I was happily surprised. The fit and finish are excellant. It is a little smaller than my Corolla (which I love), but it feels a little faster, which is weird? The only bad thing is the center console. That was the reason I never looked at this car last year. But next year when we trade my wifes car in I may look at this one. Definitely test drive it if you like small cars. The 4dr looks nice the 3 door looks rediculous....read morehide

- Excellent mpg, price value, side airbags & curtains, smooth ride, look.
- A bit of reach for steering wheel, some noise on highway and at idle.
Bought mine in 01/2008, fully loaded for $15,500. MPG is awesome and keeps improving every time I refile the tank. Last tank was 33mpg for 75% city 25% highway driving. Great acceleration from complete stop but not always good when already driving, can't cut people off on the highway anymore. Perfect for my needs, driving to work, day care and grocery store. Looks very small from the outside but actually surprisingly spacefull in the inside, even for my large shoulder husband and kid's car seat. I love my Yaris!!!!...read morehide
