This is a nimble, comfortable, happy car. It is peppy at city speeds, and zips around at 80 mph with no sign of stress. The engine makes the typical amount of noise for this size class, but road and wind noise are hushed, and freeway cruising is smooth and quiet. Auto transmission shifts seamlessly. Front seats are very comfortable, and the back seat is acceptable for two 6-footers. Like most small Toyotas, the steering wheel is a tad too far from the driver. Trunk is surprisingly large, though a 5-door hatchback would be ideal. The car handles well; steering is quick and accurate and the car fits anywhere. Two-tone interior is very attractive, and although the plastics are hard, the matte finish and consistent graining give a quality appearance.
