Purchased As New
I have a 2007 Yaris Liftback and I absolutely love this car. I purchased it new and as long as you change the fluids according to manufacturers recommendations, this car should last forever. In fact, I now use synthetic oil and change it only once a year. The auto has never given me any problem, and has never been back to the dealer save for a minor recall several years ago. I still get about 30 mpg, combination hwy. and city driving, and 35 mpg strictly on the hwy. On long trips, that's close to 400 miles on a tankful of gas.
I drove Fords all my life until the purchase of this car for $13,200. It is bare-bones, no frills, but automatic transmission. In thw winter, the heater warms the car quickly and the a/c is powerful and effective in the warmer months. The Yaris handles near perfectly in the snow with proper winter driving skills and I have never gotten stuck once in the snow.
Seating is comfortable. My 80 year old parents can easily get in and out of the roomy back seat and I can haul quite a bit of cargo, including large boxes and even lumber when the back seat is down through the liftback. I cannot speak highly enough about the Toyota reliability and this vehicle has serviced my needs extremely well.
