Really a bad choice for any truck minded person.

by Brian L. Nolen from Danbury, Texas & Dhahran, Saudi Arabia (5/16/08)
Cons:Too expensive for what you get

This truck is not made for tall people. It is really uncomfortable. AND, any time you have to get a repair which may be often the parts are 3 times as high as any other kind.

NEW LANDCRUISER A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT

by Car Fan from Glastonbury, CT (5/03/08)

we had a 99 Landcruiser with 140k miles that was a great car. We anxiuolsy awaited the new landcruiser being released. After driving it- we are SO DISAPPOINTED. (Can't imagine who'd buy the Lexus clone)It is much smaller thant the old model with no improvement in fuel efficiency. The dealer told us the true market for this vehichle is the middle east and Toyota's primary design efforts are going into the Sequoia. While a Sequoia is a great improvement from the previuos model, it doesn't come close to the luxury feel we had with the landcruiser. We are disappointed to say- our new SUV will not be a Toyota.

Medium recommendation

by khgrady from Nicasio, Ca (4/15/08)
Pros:safety, off road capability
Cons:expense, stability at high speed, fuel economy, lack of storage for such a big vehicle

I hope to grow into the styling. Moderately comfortable. Awesome in the snow. Technology not as intuitive as our audi allroad. Probably overpaid for the land cruiser cachet, but what is a better vehicle when you need 8 seat belts?

Great Value

by PDRMD from Charlotte, NC (3/20/08)

The 2008 Landcruiser offers greater comfort, performance, safety, and fuel economy than my 2002 LX 470. Too bad the other reviewers can't construct a grammatically correct sentence.

GOOD SUV BUT...

by KATS JACK from LA (2/01/08)
Pros:fuel economy not bad
Cons:handles terrible in high speed

I RECENTLY BOUGHT A 2008 LAND CRUISER ITS VERY GOOD CAR HAS ENOUGH ROOM THE ENGINE IS STRONG AND I OWN A 2007 RANGE ROVER BUT THE RANGEY IS THE BEST SUV IN THE WORLD ITS BETTER THAN THE LAND CRUISER IN COMFORT,HANDLING,SAFETY THE LAND CRUISER IF YOU DRIVE ABOVE 100MILES IT HANDLES TERRIBLE BUT THE RANGEY YOU CRUISE OVER 130MILES AND YOU DONT FEEL IT IT HUGS THE ROAD VERY WELL AND IN LONG SAFARI YOU DONT GET TIRED IN THE RANGEY BUT IN OTHER CARS YOU WILL GET TIRED

Landcruiser is still overpriced, over-rated for us

by Mike from FL (10/06/07)
Pros:Landcruiser goes from ugly to uglier, overpriced to still overprice & over-rated
Cons:Looks became worse, Fuel Consumption is still as ever a gas guzzler, big engine with small power!

The Toyota comes out with a redesign exterior for its new model, but comes up short of expection. It came from ugly to uglier, price rose to $64,000 from $56,000, engine increased in power but power still low to match U.S. standards of SUV. Bottom line is it still overpriced, over-rated and overfuzz to make really any headway to be the best!
