- Fun to drive, looks cool, top comes down.
- Rear visibility is compromised with top up. Rear seating tight.
Purchased As New
This is a fun car to drive. It has enough power, the handling is respectable and the DSG transmission lets you select your own gear OR you can drive it like an automatic. The 4 stars for comfort are due to the snug (but useable) back seat. The four stars for value is because to get the 60's Edition VW piles on every option. The reliability is based on my ownership of two New Beetles prior to this Beetle. I put 130,000 miles on my 2002 Turbo and it was a good car, but not as reliable as my wife's Prius. Of course it was A LOT more fun than her Prius. I also test drove an Audi S5 convertible and felt this was much more car for the money.
