I bought the base Turbo with just a few options...Turbo graphics on the side and leather shift #$%$/shift boot/steering wheel/parking brake. I have owned the car for two weeks now.

This car is tremendous! After a small down payment and my 14 year old trade in, I owe 15k which will be paid off soon.
This car is worth 25 or 30k. It zooms, gets great mileage, the interior is refined yet simple and the car is a blast to drive. Plus it looks great.

Get the base Turbo and the 6 speed manual as that is the only way to go.

I could have paid three times as much and purchased a Porsche or Audi coupe, but I feel I have the better car now,especially for the money. But this car performs also...it rocks.

I love this car! It is perfect in every way.

My days are brigher now and I look forward to driving anywhere...can't wait for long road trips to the beach.

I own 2008 vw passat and thats my 3rd in past 6 years. i had 98, 03 and now 08. awsome cars and tough for beating up :). turbo engines have a lot of power that you can actually feel it but yet great highway fuel economy. Most often people bitch about costs of repairs, well my adwice to every car ovnet out there, learn to do small repairs and simple maintenance yourself and avoid going to dealerships for bigger repairs, it will probably save you 80% of wasted money. I wish i didnt get my passat right before finding out about new beatle :(. i loved old school beatle and this one is so much closer to that look :) I LOVE IT!...read morehide
