Pros Looks, performance, comfort
Cons Pricey for a VW, reliability a question

This is my second CC, first was a '12 2.0T DSG. This VR6 with AWD is a little faster than the 2.0T, but not by much. The AWD eliminates the wheel-spin problem that my 2.0 had. I do miss the 'turbo rush' a little, but the VR6 does propel you nicely. I would add that the fit and finish on this 2013 seems much better than my '12 model did. The overall CC styling is an attention-getter--get a lot of comments about the car. My buddies with BMW's never get comments; I mean, heck, about everyone has a BMW--but you do not see too many CC's to begin with, and the VR6 Exec is rather rare--only like about 1 in 30 CCs from what my dealer told me anyway. Now, part of that is the price. These things sticker for like $41k; I looked at BMW 3-series and Audi's with similar or LOWER sticker prices (and yes, some higher). I went with the VW Exec cause my first 2 VW's had been wonderful, and I wanted something a little different. Also, the BMW just seemed small inside compared to the CC. I'm immature at 50 y/o, and enjoy a good stoplight race now and then, and I eat BMW 3-series for lunch--course I did with the 2.0T also (note, 335i not included; I pick my battles!) So, a lot of people see that sticker price and think "for that I can have a BMW or Audi." And I don't blame them...I had to do a lot of pondering myself. But I am very happy with the car. Very comfortable on long drives. It is a little rough on gas mileage, especially if you have a heavy foot. I frequently cruise the freeway at 85-90, and average about 22 mpg. My 2.0T would give me around 26 mpg at similar speeds. I'm undecided about reliability. Haven't had a breakdown in my 3 months of ownership, but did have an issue with the gas tank fuel gauge sending unit resulting in a whole new gas tank being installed! Also, a few strange glitches with the Dynaudio radio system freezing up....MoreHide
Pros Fuel economy, ride, looks,
Cons Front driver's seat and getting in and out of the car, depresiation.

My third VW and the best so far. Had it one year and no problems so far. The latest transmission upgrade makes a lot of difference when taking turns at a slow speed. Depresiation on this car is terrible compare to other cars.
Pros nice clean body lines, pep turbo, tight steering, great head lamps
Cons low head room , rear dome
Purchased as New
great car always getting " nice car " from people , nice turbo for getting around slow cars, music sounds good too, would buy another if the head room getting in and out was better, no switch to tuen on rear dome light, calls for 92 octane fuel it can get pricey.... overall great car with minor flaws....MoreHide
