I have only had it a week now, but I love it. I compared to my sister's 2008 330 BMW convertible and I think this is better - and wayyy better for the money. Yes the trunk is small, but not compared to other hard-top convertibles. That is the price one pays for driving a cabrio. The DSG transmission is awesome and there is a huge difference in sport mode - much more torque - but beware it also lowers MPG. The ergonomics are outstanding and fit and finish are near perfect and certainly the equal of the BMW and better than my brother's Lexus (although he has the gussied up Camry otherwise known as the ES350). The cornering is not as good as the BMW but you knew that when you bought the car and paid 15K less. It handles fine though and is quite nimble. So far I am averaging 25 MPG around town and about 31 on the highway - very close to the EPA estimates. I like the look of the 2012 better than the previous model and the Salsa Red I got is awesome. The roof is an engineering wonder and in only one week I have used both the convert and sunroof. The sound system is awesome though it could use some sub-woofers.
On the down side the cupholders are in an inconvenient location and the second one can't even be used if you want to use the center arm rest. I have only had it one week, but I must say the seats are a little stiff. I am hoping they "break-in" a little and get softer.
Overall I think one would have a hard time justifying the Volvo C70 or BMW 1 series. As for the Camry Solara - fuggedaboutit that car is for grannies. If I hadn't got this I would have bought the Mustang GT - but I wanted a bigger back-seat for the kids and better MPG.

- Pros
- sporty, nice zip. cool top
- Cons
- real loser on performance and reliability

Chugged badly in hot, nevada weather. I would be real careful in hot climates. A real loser. 2.0 turbo was fun but you have to be able to rely on a car at this price. The only thing worse is the service dept.

This is the second EOS we have leased. Our 08 was trouble free and returned mid 20s city and 32 highway. The 2012 is even better looking with more features. We compared to Audi A5, BMW 3 and infinity G37. While the A5 was a good looking vehicle, it had same engine as the EOS with an inferior transmission and was insanely priced. Eos was by far the best all around package for under 40k with NAv and high end sound system,...read morehide

The EOS I have is an earlier model but it is the most fun car i have ever had. I have owned this car for 15 months and still have people follow me to where I am going to ask me about it. I am 51 and have had many cars, many of which were the old muscle cars of the past. This EOS handles beautifully, very tight, responsive, and nimble much more so than the performance cars I have owned. On average I get right at 28 MPG combined city / highway, highway alone 30+ (could be better if I wanted it to, if you get what I mean). The top is very tight when up and sounds like you are in a regular car, no wind sounds at all. When down, drop it in S for Sport and have the time of your life. I would recomend this car to anyone that has a little bit of Parrothead in them....read morehide

- Cons
- Wanted better mpg around town

At the 1000 mile mark now, and I find myself getting up early to go to work, just because I enjoy the ride so much now. It's a fun quick little car, I love going around corners in it.
The roof is amazing, the car looks like a transformer as it's doing it's trick. The stereo has every kind of audio you could want, and sounds great, mp3 disc changer, ipod, sd card, satellite, am/fm/hd radio. I'm a big guy 6'2" and 250, and the seat feels like it was made for me, very comfortable. It's a tight, but not harsh suspension, more for comfort. I get 30mpg or more on the highway, but closer to 20 mpg on my commute, too many traffic lights, and too fun to pull away from everyone at the lights. The turbo four can scoot :-D...read morehide0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.
