- Fuel Economy, Nice Interior
- Unreliable Electrics, Buzzy Rear Door Trim
I've had a great time in this car. I drove from Houston to Dallas and back again on one tank of fuel. The monsoon stereo is great, the car has great sight lines, I always know what's around me in traffic. The acceleration is great, everyone that has driven it has been very impressed with its quality.
On the bad side, the electrics have been screwy, as usual for VW, and the dealer has had trouble fixing the problem. There is also an annoying, persistent rattle in the rear door trim.
Otherwise, the car has been superb. Diesel prices are annoyingly high right now (where I am, it costs the same or more than premium gasoline), but I am gassing up every other week, so the cost is still minimal compared to what I was paying with my gasoline car.
Give this car a serious look if you drive alot, or just dont' want to pay as much for driving.
