- very good torque, strong breaks, stability program, good front lights
- too soft suspension
The car got constant torque from just below 2000 RPM to 5000 RPM -- this makes for very good acceleration at lower RPM.
The torque at 1000 RPM is a bit low for my taste -- when starting from a stop one has to watch to avoid starting at too low RPM (this applies to manual transmission only). The car got a stability program which really helps driving fast turns on (wet) roads. The breaks and ABS are awesome -- the ABS only kicks in after the wheels actually start slipping. The suspension is a bit too soft on the front-wheels -- but what can you expect for bumpy US roads -- VW needs to provide a warranty. The car actually steps on the breaks when the front-wheels start to spin, thus providing better traction.
